Sky New Zealand Announced as first broadcast partner of the UCI Track Champions League
Soon to be joined by a host of international broadcasters, New Zealand’s leading sports channel is confirmed to offer live coverage of track cycling’s innovative new series
3 June 2021 – Paris, France: The UCI Track Champions League today confirms the first of a series of international broadcast partners in the lead up to the first round on November 6th.
SKY Network Television Limited, commonly known as Sky, will broadcast every round of the UCI Track Champions League live and in full, along with key highlights packages. Sky joins host broadcaster Eurosport, which is already set to bring the new League to viewers in Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. The New Zealand-based network occupies a key market for track cycling, already well established as a popular sport in the country, with more than 900,000 subscribers.
This latest move comes as part of the new league’s ambition to elevate the sport to a new level of global prestige and bring track cycling to a fresh international audience. Track cycling fans can expect further broadcasting partnership announcements over the coming weeks, ahead of the League’s first round in Palma, Mallorca on November 6th.
